With a Child's Sense of Wonder

So last night, while I was very screwed up, I was looking at books online. We'd been to borders earlier in the day and I liked a bunch of books I saw that were all about random information, so I looked up some others.

I find one that looks interesting, and then when I go in to read the description I find out that it's a book for parent's to read to their kids. It explains all sorts of stupid stuff like why exactly people hiccup. Every book I looked at like that was for kids. Eventually I did find a section for "grown-ups" but it took a while. I guess I'm more childlike than I know!

Oh, and can I just say I wish we turned the clocks back all the time! I love that extra hour, it's like free time I can do anything I want with! When I was in college and I had a prof cancel a class I wouldn't go study, I would enjoy my free time b/c it was time I hadn't planned on being able to use how I wanted. I feel the same way about changing the clocks. Although I think it's a stupid practice, that is my hour and I will use it as I see fit.

Do you see what I see?

Doubtful. You only see what I see if you have one contact in while watching a hockey game. Yup, that's right I had tickets to the Bruins game last night and my contact crapped out on me before the game even started. It bubbled over my eye. When I took it out and looked at it you could tell that it was disintegrating, peeling off.

So, I watched the game with one good eye. It was a good game. Less than three minutes in there was a fight. I love fights. The gloves came off immediately, it was pretty sweet, even with only one eye.

WTF Wilma?

Way to ruin my weekend Wilma! I was going to go to Miami and get some nice weather while visiting my one and only college roommate. But what do I get instead? Category 5 hurricane, 175mph winds and a MB of 882, the lowest on record ever. This is the first year ever to have a hurricane starting with a W (name started in 1953). It's also the record tying 21st hurricane of the year.

So I'm stuck here, no Land of Neon for me :(

Slacker

I'm seriously slacking in my blog. But apparently I still fit into the dork category of people who keep a blog. Dorks rule!

My dog stinks, and I mean that literally, her butt smells, and somehow she made my coat smell, so I go to the movies last night (Proof - good movie, love Jake Gyllenhal) and my coat stinks it up in the theater. I had to put it on the chair in front of me. Needless to say I'm using a different jacket.

Work is good, my evaluation went swimmingly. I love my job actually, which is really a first for me in the working world of grown ups.

Oh, and the only other thing that I have to say that might actually fit in with the tone of my blog is, what's up with old people? I've heard comedians say that when you get older you turn into a little kid, well they weren't lying. I work next door to a hotel, the hotel has all these trips of people b/c it's near town, but cheaper b/c it's not in it. Every damn tour that comes out and is waiting to get on that bus contains a a$$load of old people all wearing nametags, but not just any nametags, these are on lanyards, and say the name of the tour company. Apparently when you're old you need to be reminded of your name.

Good thing I'm not a grownup, but all my friends are - you know who you are.
